The company’s focus is facilities operation and maintenance, waste management and radiological services, security control and force protection, and environmental services.

Job Description

The Records Management Lead is responsible to oversee a variety of tasks in support of the Long-Term Records Storage (LTRS). Should have an advanced understanding of National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) principles in support of the Hanford Site Records Management program. Have an advanced understanding for Hanford Site electronic and physical repositories and possess an understanding of procedures. Assist with any other tasks determined applicable to the contract needs. Provide excellent customer service to site contractors and the Department of Energy.

Specific job duties include:

  • Oversee general operations of the LTRS
  • Ensure procedural compliance with site requirements for LTRS
  • Support and provide input on deliverables for LTRS
  • Manage physical storage of inactive records generated by or for DOE and its designated Hanford Site contractors
  • Effectively manage inventory and shipping strategies
  • Promoting scanning of files as they are requested by the customer
  • Retrieve boxes and files requested, from the RHA or FRC or other approved off-site records storage locations and support customers reviewing records at the RHA
  • Accept record boxes for storage and coordinate transportation to/from NARA FRC in Seattle, Washington, and/or other approved off-site records storage facilities
  • Maintaining accurate and timely physical collection information in the HMIS RHA database
  • Establish, maintain and upkeep LTRS desk instruction and processes for records storage
  • Perform an inventory of the records boxes stored in the Hanford Site’s Records Holding Area.
  • Support emerging audits, management assessments and corrective actions.
  • Attend work planning and status meetings.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established access controls and safety requirements.
  • Complete any other records tasks assigned by Manager.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree and experience working with an electronic document management system or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Q-Cleared or eligible to obtain Q-Clearance
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze records data sets
  • Integrated Document Management System Administrator
  • Records Management Access Portal Administrator
  • Excellent communications skills, working with all levels of management
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

Desirable Skills

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities in complex, fast paced environment
  • 5 years’ Hanford records management experience
  • 5 years’ experience working with an electronic document management system
  • 5 years’ experience managing physical and electronic records
  • Familiarization with Structured Query Language (SQL) database
  • Familiarization with Archives and Records Centers Information System (ARCIS)
  • Security Access Requirement
  • Be a current holder of a DOE "Q" clearance or have the ability to obtain a clearance.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must pass pre-employment background check
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening
  • Applicants are required to have REAL ID ACT compliant documentation at time of hire and nothing on record that would prohibit you from gaining access to Department of Energy sites
  • Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain at least a DOE “Q” clearance (if required)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The work involves sitting, walking or standing for brief periods of time. It may involve moving, lifting and carrying record boxes up to 20 lbs. The work may involve exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Works mainly in typical office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
