Job Description

**Basic Requirements:** * Ensures timely, safe food service to customers, plates and serve foods, and stocking of foods.* Washing dishes, silverware, pots, pans, and rack dishes.* Cleans and sanitizes equipment and the facilities.* Maintains the physical area efficiently and effectively. Including the cleaning and sanitation of all areas.* Responsible for maintaining, cleaning and stocking all food service areas.* Maintains the physical area efficiently and effectively.* Including the cleaning and sanitation of all areas.* Responsible for knowing their areas’ menu, service standards and procedures.* Interacts with internal and external customers effectively and works to meet and exceed their expectations.* Demonstrates adherence to NMHS’ Mission, Vision and Values Statement & to Service Excellence Standards and serves as a role model to staff. **Communications:*** Assists in effective communication throughout the department.* Strives to meet our all internal and external customer’s needs and expectations.* Must be polite and respond appropriately with all internal & external customers. **Budget:*** Assists in helping management meet budget. Must use food and supplies wisely.* Uses their time wisely and adheres to the lunch and break schedule. **Safe Food Handling & Sanitation:*** Follows proper food safety procedures and properly documents required monitors.* Actively participates in FNS’s HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) Program.* Cleans & sanitizes of all areas to meet the State Board of Health Standards.* Assists in the keeping assigned HACCP monitors and all other departmental documents.Requirements:* High School Diploma or equivalent; preferred* Must have the ability to communicate effectively orally.* Ability to follow oral instructions.* Prior food service experience preferred.* Ability to be able to read and write English is desirable.
