Description

Busy bariatric/general surgeon seeking a friendly, motivated, and reliable full time medical assistant. 

Candidate needs to have computer and multi-line telephone skills. Responsible for assisting surgeon with patient care, clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. 

Duties:

Greeting patients, triaging with vitals, working in the EHR, assisting in office procedures (setting up instruments as well as cleaning rooms and instruments), surgery scheduling, obtaining clearances and authorizations, as well as submitting for testing and working along-side our bariatric center.

Requirements

• Knowledge of healthcare field and medical specialty. Be able to convey information to patients and families with pleasant and professional image. 
• Can demonstrate excellent time management, be detailed-oriented, and an adaptable learner with strong interpersonal skills.
• High school diploma, some college preferred and Certificate in Medical Assisting preferred.
• Minimum of one year work experience in medical office setting preferred.
