North Coast Medical Supply LLC is Hiring a Recruiting Assistant Near Carlsbad, CA

Description

Advanced Diabetes Supply, a division of North Coast Medical Supply (NCMS), specialize in making it easier for patients living with Diabetes by providing their diabetes testing supplies nationwide. Our highly trained staff and proprietary technology ensures Customer satisfaction with every shipment.

Recruiting assistants help facilitate the hiring process. These collaborative workers use high communication skills to manage a variety of functions related to recruitment, including reporting to the Talent Acquisition Supervisor and coordinating communication between job applicants. This entry-level position is fulltime and there is room for growth and advancement into other positions within the human resources department. People who find the most satisfaction in this job enjoy working with others and have strong sales and people skills. The Recruiting Assistant will work within the scope of responsibilities as dictated below with the guidance and support of the Human Resources and Talent Acquisition Team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Answering phone calls, scanning documents, and making photocopies is integral to the recruitment process. Recruiting assistants ensure that all the necessary paperwork is filed and that applicant forms are completed and processed.
  • Recruiting assistants schedule interviews for up to 35 applicants a week. This involves coordinating schedules with applicants and interviewers, creating calendars, sending interview confirmations, monitoring inboxes, and reconciling interview cancellations.
  • As the first point of contact between applicants and the hiring manager, recruiting assistants screen applicants before moving their applications forward. To screen applicants, recruiting assistants review application material, read resumes and cover letters, and set up phone interviews.
  • Recruiting assistants perform data entry to input and update applicant information in the candidate database. They uphold confidentiality when handling applicant information.
  • Screening resumes and prospects, qualify, interview, and manage candidates throughout interview process to include final offer negotiation.
  • Recruiting assistants process background checks to verify applicant information and ensure that the minimum hiring requirements are met. This may include contacting references, screening for drug use, and checking for criminal background.
  • Staying active with current job boards, social networks and platforms to find talent, planning, creating and releasing position announcements.
  • Adapts quickly to frequent process changes and improvements
  • Attends all department, team, and weekly company meetings as required
  • Perform any additional responsibilities or special projects as required

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum experience of 6 months with recruiting processes and procedures, including interviewing and onboarding preferred.
  • Excellent Computer skills and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint preferred
  • Typing accuracy of 35 wpm minimum
  • Excellent communication skills: both verbal and written
  • Working knowledge of social networking sites, job boards, and applicant tracking systems
  • Exemplify a commitment to excellence and professionalism
  • Working knowledge of Calendars
  • Maintain accurate, detailed candidate records.
