Position Overview:

As a Trailer Technician at North Central Utility, you will play a crucial role in our company's success by performing mechanical repairs and maintenance on trailers. You will work closely with our team of experienced technicians, ensuring that all repairs are completed efficiently and accurately. This is “safety sensitive” position, requiring pre-employment and post-accident drug testing.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections of trailers to assess and diagnose any mechanical issues
• Repair and replace damaged or worn-out parts to restore trailers to their optimal condition
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems
• Perform welding, fabrication, and cutting tasks as needed
• Ensure all repairs are completed according to industry standards and safety guidelines
• Document all repairs and maintenance work accurately for record-keeping purposes
• Communicate effectively with customers and provide exceptional customer service
• Assist other team members as needed and collaborate on larger projects
• Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and latest technologies in trailer repair

Requirements:

• Prior experience in trailer repair and maintenance is required
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of electrical systems
• Proficient in welding, fabrication, and cutting techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Own basic tools is preferred
