Description
The charge nurse is responsible for the assessment, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the delivery of safe and effective patient-centered care. The charge nurse will facilitate and mentor others to grow professionally and advance their knowledge and skills. In addition, the charge nurse will continuously assess unit needs to ensure adequate resources for current and upcoming shifts by collaborating with other departments, clinical and nonclinical, to coordinate admissions transfers, and discharges of patients in a timely manner. The charge nurse will evaluate staffing needs based on acuities and census. The charge nurse will demonstrate professionalism at all times and will uphold standards of practice by holding team members accountable for continued compliance.
Requirements
Effective December 6, 2021, North Canyon Medical Center is requiring Covid-19 vaccination as a condition of employment. All employees must receive, at a minimum, the first does of Covid-19 vaccine before they may render any care, treatment or other services for the facility and/or its patients. By January 4, 2022, all staff must have received the single-dose vaccine or received the last does of a multi-dose vaccine. Thereafter, staff are not considered “fully vaccinated” until 14 days after receiving the last required dose for the vaccine. (86 FR 61573). New hires may request an exemption from the vaccination requirement for medical or religious reasons per our vaccination policy. Any request for exemption should be submitted during the post-offer, pre-placement process.
