Responsibilities

The Senior Tax Accountant will focus primarily on indirect taxes and license management and assist with federal and state tax compliance. This position reports directly to the company’s Senior Tax Manager to coordinate the completion of tax returns and other tax related filings in compliance with Federal, State and Local laws/regulations. This role also works closely with the manager to identify and resolve complex tax matters with proposed solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of preparation of state sales & use tax and personal property tax
• Analytical skills, detail oriented
• Up to date knowledge of tax rules and regulations
• Critical thinker and problem solver
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication (oral and written), and organization skills
• Self-starter who is comfortable working both independently and as a member of a team
• BA or MA in Accounting with tax concentration preferred

• Sales & Use Tax Returns
• Personal Property Tax Returns
• Business Licensing
• Support Senior Tax Manager
• Work with external CPA firm to ensure time and accurate filing of federal and state income and other tax returns
• Handle tax notices
• Complete other tax projects
