The North American Deer Farmers Association® exists to:
- establish, encourage and facilitate an exchange of ideas on breeding, handling and deer farm management among members
- promote deer farming and ranching and venison consumption in North America
- to acquire and distribute information on all aspects of deer farming and ranching to members
- provide a forum for the solution of deer farming and ranching challenges and to keep members informed regarding the implementation of such solutions
- represent the deer farming and ranching industry to all levels of government, to livestock producers and to other related organizations
- provide a registry for privately-owned cervidae
- establish and promote ethical standards of conduct and husbandry in deer farming and ranching

We are looking for a responsible Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. This position is responsible for handling project documentation and correspondence in support of the Executive Director and the Board of Directors & Committees. Responsibilities:
- Development and management of the NADeFA publication/magazine issues, including securing advertisements, articles, layout support and ensuring proper and timely adherence to the publication deadlines, etc.
- Direct NADeFA membership retention and recruitment. Maintain contact with existing members and drive increases in new memberships and sponsorships. Manage the accurate and timely production of the membership directory.
- Assist with all facets of scheduling, planning and preparation for the NADeFA annual conference, including site/facility identification and vetting, contract negotiation, advertising, booth sales, sponsorships and assist the Executive Director, Board of Directors and Committees in the successful planning and execution of the annual event.
- Perform general administrative duties such as but not limited to; filing, photocopying, taking and distributing meeting minutes, managing schedules, coordinating travel arrangements, scheduling appointments with internal and external parties, providing back up to switchboard, ordering supplies, sorting and distributing correspondence and maintaining database records.
Requirements: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent,1-2 years of experience providing administrative support preferably in the not-for-profit area. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, e- mail, spreadsheets, and managing files and records and other office procedures at a proficient level. Proficient in MS Office
