Norm Reeves is Hiring an Office 365 Engineer Near Cerritos, CA

The Company:

The CAR Group is a dedicated team who provides exceptional business management and IT services to a collection of high-performing, privately held retail automotive dealerships throughout Southern California, Florida, and Texas. The dealerships all do business as Norm Reeves. The organization maintains its primary operational office near its dealerships in Cerritos, CA. The IT Department serves over 1,500 employees across 16 physical dealership operations as well as two auxiliary management offices. 

The Opportunity:

The O365 Engineer reports to the IT director and is responsible for the delivery of project assignments, including the analysis, design and architecture, deployment and support of the Microsoft Office 365 platform. They cultivate a departmental culture of excellence that align with the company’s aggressive goals for growth and commitment to elevating the employee and customer experience.

What you’ll do:

  • Be responsible for creation, Implementation, and management of technologies such as Microsoft Office 365 “Email and Apps”, Azure “Hosting and Microservices”, Exchange Online “Webmail”, Office Online “Productivity Apps”, SharePoint and OneDrive to further expand business capability utilizing best in class applications and services while improving security and collaboration.
  • Develop new processes and policies enabling better information control and reducing risk by building capabilities using Azure Rights Management Services and Information Rights Management policies enabling the business to operate more securely and with enhance governance.
  • Create, implement, and administer authentication, authorization, and access mechanisms “IDP” enabling a robust and user-friendly Identity capability that works with and leverages Active Directory, Azure AD and related services to help users’ logon with additional security and reduced complexity.
  • Be able to coordinate and assist customer support (level-1 or level-2) personnel with O365 related incidents and tasks ensuring that the team grows its capability.
  • Develop and manage rollout plans and manage them to completion including and assisting other teammates in project management exercises for cross functional benefit.
  • Take on and coordinate trouble ticket escalation with Microsoft support as well as related vendors in the supply chain to ensure the organization resolves issues quickly and effectively.
  • Develop, utilize, and script common functions that colleagues would benefit from in their daily activities increasing effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Create user guidance, documentation, and consultation to assist with the adoption and use of the Microsoft platform and related applications enabling the greater team access to expert level guidance.

What you’ll need:

  • Four-year degree (or work experience equivalent) and 4 years of experience with a proven advanced skill-set and enterprise experience across various Microsoft and related technologies, to include architecture experience in O365 and Azure environments. This includes proven design, planning and implementation with O365.
  • Hands on migration/deployment experience in Active Directory, Azure and O365 environment is required.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and use as well as SSO Identity solution providers such as Okta and Ping.
  • Ability to understand the business needs and propose a technology solution that addresses the associated requirements.
  • Proven ability to communicate at multiple levels of the organization
  • Ability to work equally as effective independently or in a team environment
  • Certificate(s) MCSE, MCP, Exchange, 365 fundamentals, 365 Identity, etc.
