The Operational Risk Management (ORM) organization supports Credit’s desire to reduce operational risk. The Problem & Remediation Management team is focused on reducing residual risk by performing Root Cause Analysis on incidents. A successful Problem & Remediation Management (PRM) resource is passionate about getting to resolutions, team collaboration, communication, and quality/timely delivery. The ideal candidate will leverage skills such as a continuous improvement mindset, business knowledge and a natural curiosity to deliver. The PRM team partners with all areas of the business including leadership teams. Responsibilities Drives incident and customer remediation lifecycle to completion – identification through resolution Owner and scope identification Works through root cause analysis: Doesn’t jump to conclusions Understands what before why Process Focused Looks beyond a single root cause Digs deeper to find root causes Finds root causes that are fixable Ability to think critically, factually, and rationally Recommends effective corrective actions Provides Recommendations Delivers timely incident and/or customer resolutions Provides actionable reporting to ensure overall success Manages incident milestones and deliverables and provides incident updates and status reporting Schedules and facilitates incident-related meetings; prepares documentation, captures effective meeting minutes Proactively identifies waste, defects, and key opportunities for improving business results, leveraging applicable methods and tools to design and implement viable solutions tailored to root causes. Drives establishment and refinement of metrics that give visibility into opportunities, insight into the root cause, and accountability for improvement. Gains subject matter expertise into customer and business processes, existing data sources, and technologies, documenting knowledge and information in flows, diagrams, maps, and dictionaries. Communicates clearly and concisely, in written and oral formats about decisions, plans and tasks You’ve got this if you have … Involve all stakeholders as appropriate in preparation for incident steering needs: to ensure clarity of goals, team roles, action items, milestones, and overall incident status and direction Advanced knowledge of Lean concepts (A3 Problem Solving) and Root Cause Analysis methods including the 5 Whys and Fishbone Diagrams (cause and effect diagrams) Effectively manages inter-related incidents/projects to ensure goals and outcomes align across programs Identifies issues/changes and with minimum support drives solutions Ability to take ambiguous project requirements/incidents or scope and partner with others to provide team direction with recommendations for next steps while relating all business impacts and concerns to areas across the business Understands how to leverage analytical data and apply it to decision-making Communicates clearly/concisely through senior director level and can influence stakeholder expectations through direct relationships Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite including SharePoint, Visio, and Excel and proficient in MS Project Experience in credit, banking, and/or financial services is preferred Please note this role may require some travel We’ve got you covered… Our employees are our most important asset and that’s reflected in our benefits.
