Operations Director
Department: Operations
Reporting to: President, Janice Christensen
Employment Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Job Overview:
The Operations Director at nora flemingⓇ is a culture champion, a report wizard, a lover of efficiency and a jack of all trades! Create a spreadsheet? Manage US customs? Predict product arrival dates? Implement a new CRM? They can do it.
They are responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating all business procedures and implementing best-practice processes that will improve day-to-day operations. In addition, the Operations Director will ensure work environments are adequate and safe, and oversee the manufacturing, shipping, and warehouse functions of the company. As a member of the leadership team, the Operations Director will bring their experience, leadership, personality and ideas to a growing and creative organization.

Qualifications and Requirements:
● Minimum Bachelor's Degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
● Proficient in understanding budgets, spreadsheets, and other financial data
● Ability to identify inefficiencies and to create change within the organization
● Possesses a thorough understanding of all departments within the organization
● Excellent oral and written communication skills
● Demonstrate qualities of an effective and fair leader
● Excellent organizational, time management, and conflict resolution skills
● Outstanding negotiation skills
Supervisory Responsibilities:
● Directly supervise a minimum of 2 employees within the Operations & Finance Teams
● Indirectly supervise a minimum of 6 employees within the Operations & Finance
Teams
● Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies
● Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Work Environment:
● Continually required to sit, be on the phone, and use a computer
● This job operates in an open office environment with some level of noise; some time may be spent in a warehouse environment
● Occasionally required to lift items up to 25 lbs.
● Hybrid remote work schedule is an option
● Must be able to stand for extended amounts of time when at shows or in the warehouse
