Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.

Responsibilities

Noblis MSD’s mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) and their missions’ to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. We are looking to hire a Senior Systems Engineer to support U.S. Navy Submarine Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) programs. You will provide engineering and technical assistance support in the Philadelphia Navy Yard. 

The Systems Engineer is a full time position, and will consist of a combination of remote work, and onsite work at a government facility in Philadelphia. This position facilitates leading the development of the system lab and the steering system for surface ship combatants with NAVSEA Philadelphia.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Analyze and develop lab requirements
• Facilitate the development of developing lab space requests and build out
• Develop technical requirements for ship configuration and Build out of Materials
• Develop technical manuals
• Collorabrate on fleet implementation and fielding plans
• Develop and execute test plans

Qualifications

• Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering is desired from an accredited university, or at least 6 years equivalent experience as a US Navy technician 
• DOD Secret clearance highly desired or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Technical experience in architecting and designing electrical to mechanical systems.

Desired skills and knowledge:

• PLC knowledge and programming a plus
• Experienced with computer server hardware
• BIOS configuration
• Knowledge of Ethernet networking
• Troubleshooting lab and system hardware
• Familiar non-Ethernet communication protocols helpful but not required
• Work on engineering drawings
• General Windows OS experience (Install/Configure/Troubleshoot)
• Conduct configuration management reviews and submit them for peer review and lockdown
