Noblis is Hiring an Entry Level Software Engineer Near Philadelphia, PA

Responsibilities

Noblis MSD’s mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) in their missions to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. Noblis MSD is seeking to hire an entry level Software Developer or Computer Scientist.

Noblis MSD is seeking an Entry Level Software Engineer / Computer Scientist to join a growing team supporting the design and development of critical U.S. Navy systems and technologies. The candidate will join a team of software/systems engineers and learn the systems and processes to contribute with the following:

  • Provide lifecycle software support following the Navy's Systems Engineering Process (SEP) and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) standards
  • Develop new and modified control system computer programs from software requirements.
  • Develop and/or modify code in Python, Java, and/or C/C . 
  • Develop and/or modify Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) using applicable development tools.
  • Develop software for embedded systems.
  • Develop and conduct software tests to demonstrate computer programs satisfy requirements.
  • Use software issue tracking tools/databases.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree. 

Seeking upcoming or recent graduates; or those with 0-2 years of experience.

Knowledge/familiarityof Java and/or Python programming languages preferred.

Demonstrated understanding of object-oriented programming.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Motivated to learn new concepts and technologies.

Client Engagement

· Learn about and support Noblis’ client engagement, corporate values, and corporate strategic priorities, including providing input to proposal writers. · Build a productive relationship with your client and understand their structure and goals. · Participate in the proposal process by providing input to proposal writers.
