Job breakdown

Hospice Austin has an exciting supervisory opening for a Team Lead. Reporting to the Chief Clinical Officer, the Team Lead is someone who is organized, efficient, and reliable. A day in your role includes taking a proactive role in hiring and training new team members, enforcing operational procedures, and creating ad-hoc reports as needed.

Please note, while not a nursing position, an UNRESTRICTED TX RN license is required to be considered.

What you will own

• Managing team of RNs, LVNs, CNAs, Social Workers, Chaplains, and Team Secretaries
  • Hiring, selection, and training
  • Coaching, development, and support
  • Shift scheduling
• Providing daily oversight of your teams' operations and productivity levels
• Taking the lead in hiring, training, and mentoring team members
• Ensuring shifts are properly staffed; scheduling back-up coverage :
• Creating ad-hoc reports, as needed
• Overseeing productivity of service at the counselor level and general community management
• Participating in various meetings and activities related to organizational growth
• Assuming additional responsibilities as delegated by the Chief Clinical Officer

Negotiables

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing ( BSN )
• 3 years of operational and personnel management experience

Non-negotiables

• MUST BE TX Registered Nurse (RN)
  • License must be from an approved school as determined by the Board of Nurse Examiners
• Valid TX driver's license:
  • Valid auto insurance
  • Clean driving record
• MUST BE ABLE to work occasional holidays
• 1 year of operational and personnel management experience.
• CPR certification
