Position Description
Job Title: System Administrator
Supervisor: Director of Technology
Job Summary
Hiring for a full time Help Desk/ System Administrator to be first line of support to resolve issues in both office and field environments. Expected to help support our internal Microsoft 365 platform. Mainly Windows 10 Pro environment, as well as limited mobile. The position requires problem solving skills, good communication, organization and follow-up.
Essential Duties
- Responsible for setup and integration of user workstations, with Microsoft Windows 10 and Azure AD
- Maintain and manage hardware and software on Windows 10 desktops and laptops, including updates/patching
- Provide support to end users and respond to Help Desk tickets
- Monitor end points utilizing Microsoft Office 365 and RMM tools
- Responsible for setting up and monitoring back-up solution.
- Work with supervisor to ensure best practices are being implemented and met throughout the company
- Documentation
Other Duties
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Technical Skills/Knowledge
- Must possess an associate degree in management information systems, computer science, or related field. Two years of relevant experience may be substituted for the associate degree upon review.
- Strong Interpersonal skills
- Troubleshooting Windows 10 PC issues, as well as iOS and Android mobile devices
- Backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Security best practices and monitoring
- Microsoft 365 Platform including SharePoint
- Azure AD
- Microsoft Intune a big plus
- MSP related experience a plus
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Must have the ability to sit for extended periods of time; exhibit manual dexterity to dial a telephone, to enter data into a computer terminal; to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
Duties are normally performed in an office environment. Office located in McKinney, TX
