About the Role
Product Engineers support product lifecycle management, product configurations and serve as the primary conduit between manufacturing and engineering. This role will acquire experience across multiple engineering disciplines as they assist product directors and senior engineers with projects and tasks that focus on components and sub-systems. Successful Product Engineers will be interested in becoming experts on everything they can, from fiber laser technology to internal business systems. This entry level position is particularly suited for recent graduates and early career engineers who enjoy both technical engineering work as well as administrative responsibilities and has multiple avenues for growth depending on skillsets and desired career path.Your Responsibilities

• Support management of product specifications, testing requirements and product design changes
• Manage product configurations, part numbers and BoMs
• Drive cross-functional tasks and schedules for component, supplier, and product qualifications
• Assess engineering change requests based on potential costs and benefits and work with development teams to implement approved changes
• Work with key account managers and service to ensure timely dissemination of feedback and follow up on required tasks
• Review and analyze data from factory failures, service activities and RMAs to ensure proactive containment and corrective actions
• Coordinate with operations and planning teams on tactical production priorities and shepherd engineering/qualification units through the manufacturing line

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in STEM or similar discipline
• Experience with lasers, electro-optics, opto-mechanics, or other multidisciplinary systems is preferred
• General knowledge of statistics, data analytics and database structures preferred

• Familiarity with systems engineering principals

• Comfortable asking lots of questions
• Computer skills – MS Office, SharePoint, PDM, SQL, Dynamics AX, mathematical software (i.e. JMP, Mathematica, MATLAB)

• Product Engineer I: $65,500 - $82,000
• Product Engineer II: $80,000 - $95,000
