Niyam is seeking a QA Engineer to join our team in support of our work with FEMA. We offer competitive compensation and benefits. Position currently allows remote work but may require on-site work when COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.

Role and Responsibilities

• Create tests to identify software problems
• Analyze bugs and errors found during tests
• Document results of tests for the software development team
• Recommend improvements in software to enhance user experience
• Motivate the development process for efficiency and performance
• Works together with the software developer to enhance and improve programs
• Research and compare similar competitor products
• Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends and advancements

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Proof of US Citizenship in to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and at least two (2) years of automated testing experience (Selenium)
• Capable of using SQL and other tools to confirm testing
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills
• Extensive experience in software development and testing
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Microsoft Windows
• In-depth understanding of Java, Python, SQL, C and XML
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Great team player and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge and experience with federal clients
• Active Public Trust security Clearance
• Experience working in Agile environment
