About the Role

Nisolo is growing rapidly, and we plan to scale our Production team to meet the growing demands of our business. As a Production Associate, you will be responsible for production placement and tracking, working closely with internal cross-functional teams and external suppliers to meet our deliverables. The right candidate will demonstrate extreme attention to detail, analytical thinking, and eagerness to iterate on and implement new processes. This position will report to the Director of Production.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor factory production WIP reports reviewing the accuracy of PO details and the status of key production milestones to ensure on-time deliveries. Troubleshoot potential issues that can impact production delivery, and work with factory/supplier base to problem solve and create solutions. 
  • Create Master WIP reports for cross-functional teams that build transparency into production status. 
  • Coordinate with factory base and nominated suppliers on order and delivery status, including monthly updates on safety stock liability. 
  • Partner with nominated forwarder to approve freight bookings and monitor inbound flow. Communicate inbound status to cross-functional teams. 
  • Translate OTB (open to buy) directed by the planning team into official po’s and submit to factory base on an accurate and timely basis. Collaborate with factory base to ensure seasonal and core buy po’s are received and follow up on confirmation of requested x-factory dates. 
  • Support raw material purchases and safety stock liability inventory management.
  • Responsible for system maintenance, ensuring the system reflects accurate information on production x-dates, order totals, approved method of transit, and inbound freight status. 
  • Oversee factory and supplier timing of invoice submission, review invoices for accuracy, enter invoices into a tracking system, and pass invoices to Product Director for approval. 
  • Generate UPCs and submit information to the factory base on a seasonal basis.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2 years of relevant prior experience working for an in-house brand, ideally in footwear, at a high-growth company
  • Experience working with factories outside of the US, tracking production and logistics preferred
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing lead times. 
  • A strong written/oral communicator, used to escalating issues and providing a data-based solution.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a very fast-paced environment that requires continual multi-tasking and prioritization
  • Proficient working in Google Suite and MS Suite; working knowledge of Slack, Airtable, and Asana is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of footwear materials, lasts, leathers, outsoles, and constructions.
  • Some experience with sustainable materials & suppliers
  • The ability to speak Spanish is a plus. 

Compensation: Based on previous experience and expertise. 

Timing: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Only candidates who pass through to the interview round will be contacted. The goal hire date for this role is October 2022.
