Senior Enterprise Architect - Job Description

Individual will provide enterprise architecture (EA) support for a major FAA program to achieve investment decisions and support implementation into the National Airspace (NAS) architecture. Activities include developing DoDAF/FEAF compliant EA artifacts, conducting requirements analysis, and coordinating with the FAA NextGen office and other related FA program offices.

Responsibilities:

The individual needs to demonstrate the ability to work within a team to resolve issues and present solutions to senior leadership. Specific responsibilities include:

• Prepare required EA artifacts (e.g., OV-1, AV-1, OV-5, OV-6, SV-6, etc.) in accordance with the appropriate framework.
• Develop supporting EA documentation, such as technical/functional views, operational views, system views, data dictionaries, and functional diagrams.
• Coordinate with other related FAA program offices and the NextGen office, document action items, and track statuses related to EA development and approval.
• Review and provide comments on program requirements.
• Support program investment analysis activities.
• Work with minimal supervision and have substantial latitude for unsupervised decision and action.
• Complete project deliverables on time at highest level of quality.
• Perform other job-related responsibilities, as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:

Individual should possess a minimum of 10 years experience in enterprise architecture.

• Experience with DoDAF, FEAF, and/or TOGAF architectural frameworks.
• Proficient with UNICOM Systems Architect.
• Experience with FAA NextGen office preferred.
• Understand FAA AMS process and prepare EA Artifacts previously.
• Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to employ problem solving techniques in unique situations.
• Ability to use information technology to solve business problems.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
• Prior experience in a management consulting or business advisory position.
• Strong data analysis, program evaluation, and critical thinking skills.
• Fluency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent presentation and written communication skills.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (engineering/science/mathematics)
• Master's degree desired
• CEA certification desired
