Job Description

The Producer/Digital Journalist role will report into the Content Manager, where you will drive digital content for 6PR across the afternoon for Perth Live, Wide World of Sports and Money News as well as produce the Money News show

Day to day you will:

  • Prepare content, contribute ideas and organise interviews for the 6PR Money News show.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships with digital, sales, integration, news, production and the audience.
  • Produce accurate, concise and engaging written content in a timely fashion.
  • Produce innovative social media content that amplifies program content and covers news of the day.
  • Use measurement tools such as Google Analytics, Triton Webcast and Omny to monitor online performance and gain a better understanding of audience patterns. 

Qualifications

  • Journalism qualification - a sound knowledge of News and Current Affairs, and how it applies to the finance sector.
  • Experience in radio or other news media.
  • Have an excellent understanding of media and broadcast law.
  • Ability to recognise a good story when you hear it.
  • Strong verbal and broadcast-writing skills.
  • Capacity to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-focused environment. 
  • Experience with Wordpress, Omny, Canva and managing social media business accounts is desired.
  • Photo/video editing skills are desired.
