The Training Manager will identify and monitor training needs in the organization, and design, plan, and implement training programs, policies, and procedures to fulfill those needs. Training programs will be in the areas of standardized work instructions, safety programs, quality, kaizen and problem-solving methodologies. 

The key annual delivery points will include:

• Reviews existing training programs; suggests enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of manufacturing.
• Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.
• Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the facility.
• Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational changes as the standard operating procedures are updated.
• Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions.
• Collaborates with vendors and third-party training providers to arrange employee participation in outside training programs.
• Ensures that training milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved training budget.
• Prepares and implements training budget.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education / Experience/Certifications

• 5-7 years training experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in kaizen and lean fundamentals.
• Experience with problem solving methodologies in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong graphic design ability.
• Thorough understanding of training processes.
• Ability to moderate large groups.
• Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Physical Requirements/Essential Functions

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Prolonged walking and standing in a manufacturing environment.

Candidates must have current U.S. work authorization or be TN eligible from Mexico or Canada. This position is not eligible for CPT or OPT.
