Nightingale College is Hiring a Remote Admissions Coordinator

We are looking for an Admissions Coordinator to help support the operations of the College Admissions Function.

Position Summary:The Admissions Coordinator contributes to the effect recruitment and enrollment of new learners to Nightingale College by assisting in the collection and maintenance of required admissions documents to meet required compliance and accreditation regulations and standards.

Essential Function and Responsibilities:

  • Enter all new inquiry information in learner database management system.
  • Receive incoming department calls, directs calls to appropriate personnel, as needed.
  • Greet and assist prospective learners, learner families, and other visitors.
  • Follow the Discover, Commit, Start Application process with all new inquiries.
  • Schedule Follow-up correspondence with the prospective learners.
  • Assist in community awareness by helping with community fairs, health fairs, career fairs, seminars, open houses, etc.
  • Answer questions about the Nursing Program.
  • Ensure proper tracking of all inquiries.
  • Collect all required documentation required for enrollment.
  • Create and audit learner’s file with all required documents.
  • Track and document daily phone calls and all correspondence with prospective learners in the database management system.
  • Provide a daily report to Manager, Admissions (DAR).
  • Collect all required documentation required for enrollment.
  • Establish, with the Admissions Manager, weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals.
  • Maintain learner commitment throughout enrollment period and add drop.
  • Generate leads by requesting referrals.
  • Provide Admissions Manager and/or Director with feedback on effectiveness with scripts and processes.
  • Maintain the standards in the Admissions Department consistent with the College’s Values and Mission.
  • Collaborate with the financial aid department, registrar department, Learner services department, and nursing department to provide the highest level of service for enrolling learners.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Processes applications for all incoming learners.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining student records in learner management system.
  • Responsible for continuous review of assigned application packets to facilitate application completion.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining master audit list to track applicant progress.
  • Works closely with the admissions advisors and other departments regarding applicant’s admissions status.
  • Communicates with applicants about missing application items.
  • Reviews and resolves conflicting information in electronic files to ensure accuracy.
  • Continuously strengthens processes and internal controls to ensure compliance with accreditation regulations and standards.
  • Assists with a variety of tasks spanning the entire admissions function.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One to two years of College Admissions, Data Entry, or Customer Service experience preferred
  • AS degree or BS degree or higher, preferred
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as a committed team player
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability work with a ride range of individuals in a diverse community
  • Ability to use technology, including student and data management systems, word processing, and Excel, efficiently and appropriately
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar

This position is required to attend new employee orientation in person in Salt Lake City, Utah.
