Job Description Develop electronic and electrical system requirements using analytical and technical skills, translate requirements into system architectures and modify hardware and software designs for a variety of motor applications. Responsibilities and Duties • Develop statement-of-work, technical performance specifications, hardware, software and interface specifications. • Analyze, translate and implement requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications, showing traceability throughout the product lifecycle. • Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements, resolving product integration issues and production anomalies. • Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements. • Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • 5 year of relevant experience. • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in electrical or computer engineering or related field. • Good communication, analytical, and organizational skills and be able to work in a team environment. • Ability to conceive, develop, optimize, maintain and modify electronic/electrical system designs based on requirements. • Ability to provide technical coordination with internal and external suppliers and customers. Additional Job Details Job Description: Loading, installing and testing a vendor provided Linux/GitHub repository on a new hardware platform. Experience in reviewing, modifing and/or creating board specific drivers. Create and Maintain project documentation including New Product Introduction Documents, Test Specifications, Test Procedures and Test Reports. Write test code for listed features for validation: To include but not limited to Ethernet, CAN, HDMI, SPI, PCIe (SSD’s), etc.. Candidate must be able to communicate effectively and professionally over the phone and in person. Qualifications: Proficiency with Linux OS and GitHub repositories. Experience in the bring-up/commissioning of a board from Vendors repository of Linux drivers. Education in Electronics, Electrical or Computer Engineering or 4 years’ experience in programming, software testing and Electronics. Knowledge of Windows OS, Wired/Wireless Network Architecture, Systems Testing, Software/Data Base Testing is a plus. Familiarity with Ethernet (1GB/s), HDMI, SPI, CAN, PCIe, SSD’s and NXP’s IMX8 line of processors. Excellent communication skills a must – written and verbal. Team oriented. Programming Languages: Knowledge of high-level languages like C, C , VB or Python, a plus. Knowledge of QT package a plus. Familiarity and knowledge of using high speed oscilloscope a plus.
