Our main center of gravity is in the Pittsburgh area, and we have teams located in RI and CO.

This position is hybrid or in-person in the Pittsburgh office.

We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer who is looking for the opportunity to generate innovative solutions to address unique issues on a variety of autonomy projects. The coding will consist of real-time/object-oriented C, C , and Python in an embedded Linux environment. An ideal candidate would have familiarity with Object-oriented design methodologies and code analysis Your role is key in developing new autonomous vehicle products, including drive-by-wire robotics systems and sensors from the ground up.

What You’ll Do

• Work on embedded platform software in a Linux-based environment
• Write event-driven and asynchronous applications primarily in C, C , and Python
• Write software that communicates with and controls other devices over interfaces including CAN, UART, I2C, SPI and others
• Use oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, multimeters, and other tools for electronic diagnostics

What You’ll Need

• Degree (BS, MS) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Controls, or similar or equivalent practical experience
• In-depth understanding of Embedded Systems and associated development and debugging tools (e.g., microcontroller cross-development in a Linux environment)
• At least 3 years of experience developing high-quality software plus a dedication to continuous improvement
• Passionate about seeing your own work operates within larger systems and committed to the importance of collaborative teamwork (e.g., robust design and code reviews)
• Have either strong C or strong microcontroller experience
• Automotive industry experience (e.g., CAN, UDS, vehicle control)
