Job Description

Allergy & Asthma Medical Group of the Bay Area

Allergy and Asthma Medical Group (AAMG) operates specialty clinics in the field of allergy and asthma throughout the California Bay Area. We are committed to providing our patients and families uncommon care, uncommon concern, and uncommon compassion, and we are dedicated to hiring and teaching health professionals with this same vision. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients 
  • Register patients according to established protocols 
  • Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation including medical insurance
  • Ensure patient information is accurate including billing information 
  • Inform patients of medical office procedures and policy 
  • Maintain and manage patient records 
  • Move patients through appointments as scheduled 
  • Answer incoming calls and deal with inquiries 
  • Transfer calls as required 
  • Schedule patient appointments 
  • Collect co-pays and payments 
  • Report statistics as required 
  • Obtain external medical reports as required by medical professionals 
  • Respond and comply with requests for information 
  • Deal with incoming and outgoing post 
  • Complete other clerical duties as assigned 
  • Maintain stock of forms and office supplies 
  • Ensure the reception area is well maintained, neat, and clean 
  • Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality 

Qualifications:

  • At least a high school graduate or graduation equivalency degree (GED)
  • Associate degree holders are preferred
  • At least 1-year experience in office administration or receptionist experience
  • At least 1-year working in the healthcare field
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of computer, basic  word, and excel programs
  • Strong  interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment
  • Effective telephone etiquette
  • Able to work in Pleasanton, CA
