Duties and Responsibilities:

We are looking for an experienced medical technician to perform medical laboratory tests at our facility. Your responsibilities in this capacity include completing specific procedures, interpreting test results, and summarizing your findings in reports. You will also be expected to keep track of laboratory supplies.

● Biological sample preparation for testing, including tissue, blood, urine, spinal fluid, and stomach secretions.

● Examining samples for serological, bacteriological, biochemical, hematological, and microbiological issues.

● Blood group, type, and compatibility testing, as well as complete blood counts, are performed.

● Counting the number of cells and microorganisms in prepared samples, such as bacteria or parasites.

● Analyzing biological composition and identifying drug chemical presence.

● Identifying anomalies and determining if sample parameters are within normal limits.

● Summarizing results and communicating findings to referring physicians and medical experts in electronic format, as well as collaborating on patient care.

● Inventorizing laboratory stock and supplies and obtaining replacements.

● Upkeep and calibration of equipment such as analyzers, colorimeters, flame photometers, and spectrophotometers.

● Following best practices in medical laboratory sciences and staying up to date on innovations in the area.

Qualifications:

● At least 1 year of Medical Technologist or comparable work experience.

● Fresh graduates are welcome.

● Bachelor of science degree with a focus on medical technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or similar.

● Current California Medical Laboratory Technologist (CA-MLT) license.

● Experience in EHR/EMR is a plus.

● Able to work with physical tasks related to laboratory work.

● Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.

● Advanced computer proficiency.

● Able to work in Los Angeles, CA

● Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred.

● Authorized to work in the US.
