Your main responsibilities

• Process samples into the lab system and schedule by entering required data and numbering or otherwise accessioning samples
• Perform initial setup which includes basic centrifugation, preparing portions, and placing samples into storage or send-out as specified by the type of study
• Rotate analyzed samples through refrigerator or other storage facility and discard according to established rules and procedures
• Perform the procedures for freezer maintenance, including recording temperatures, performing routine temperature alarm validations, cleanliness, proper location of samples, and recording of inventory
• Update shipment log and maintain accurate inventory of all specimens/samples

What we are looking for

• Exceptionally strong attention to detail
• Working knowledge of computer-aided applications for data entry and communications, data entry screen layouts, and common office productivity software
• Sufficient math skills to record numerical data and compute sums and fractions
• Ability to convey technical concepts with peers in a work team 
• Sufficient ambulatory ability to move to-and-from receiving, lab, and storage areas
