Student Services Coordinator

The Students Services Coordinator at NewPath Child & Family Solutions works collaboratively with the staff of Education & Day Programs. The Student Services Coordinator guides and engages the agency’s spectrum of Day Programs, champions quality, promotes growth/expansion, fosters academic and therapeutic effectiveness, and advances a culture of excellence. They will serves as a voice for academic strategy within the Day Program department in support of NewPath’s mission, vision, values and strategic priorities. This position will be a key communicator who will aid in resolving conflict and motivating the various teams to make a difference within a culture of compassionate leadership and excellence.

What you’ll be doing:

Curriculum:

• Schedule and attend all Individual Education Program meetings for all students prior to the annual date, in turn keeping Newpath in compliance with ODE standards.
• Assist teachers in developing IEP’s as indicated and monitor the implementation of all IEP’s. This includes meeting with students on a monthly basis to assess IEP goals.
• Oversee and manage IEP tracking, collaboration with school districts and referral sources. Including review of Progress Reports and Report Cards.
• Support and guide teachers through the IEP/ETR development and implementation process. 
• Ensure that all students have an FBA and BIP that is compliant with the home district of the student.
• Assist in planning for transition and reintegration of students back to the community school setting.

Mentoring/Coaching:

• Attend and participate in team meetings, staff meetings, and supervision as scheduled when necessary 
• Assist with the orientation and training of new teachers.
• Coordinates with teachers for behavioral data collection, implementation, and evaluation of all Functional Behavioral Analysis and Behavioral Intervention Plans.
• Maintain working relationship with student’s home school district and/or team.
• Provide support to teachers regarding data collection for Extended School Year educational services.
• Conduct/Facilitate IEP and/or ETR training/in-services with the teachers and educational staff as determined by the Student Services Director

Therapeutic Engagement:

•  Complete all CIR’s and RIF’s by end of shift, when necessary
• Provide Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and physically restrain clients as needed, consistent with NewPath policies. 

Requirements

What you need:

• Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, Masters preferred.
• Current ODE education licensure as an Intervention Specialist 
• Two years of experience working with high risk youth population 
• Must have strong interpersonal communication, problem solving, and team building skills. 
• Must be detail oriented, have excellent organizational skills and be flexible.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Have a valid driver’s license and good driving record with no more than 5 points and current automobile insurance.
• Good written and verbal skills.
• Good ability to remain calm and professional in crisis situation.
