Newcomb & Boyd, a multi-discipline engineering firm in Atlanta, Georgia is seeking an experienced Fire Protection Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Design fire suppression and fire alarm systems
• Prepare 2- and 3-dimensional construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit
• Coordinate design efforts working closely with our in-house disciplines, architectural clients, and building owners

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Possess a solid technical base with desire to learn, lead, and grow into Senior Engineer and Project Management positions
• Demonstrate proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Prioritize effectively, has good follow-through, and practiced self-implemented quality control measures
• Ability to communicate well in writing, as well as verbally

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Fire Protection Engineering
• EIT required. PE preferred.
• Three years (3)  experience in the consulting business, including water-based extinguishing systems, fire alarm and mass notification, smoke control, and special hazards systems
• Previous leadership experience strongly preferred

Salary Range: $80,000 - $150,000.
