We are seeking a New York Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to join our quickly growing practice located in Paramus, New Jersey!

The job will entail representing carriers and third party administrators in all phases of litigation in the Workers' Compensation Board. Prior Workers' Compensation experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to fully train/mentor the right candidate!

Responsibilities:

• Appear for hearings at the New York Workers' Compensation court (currently, all hearings are being conducted virtually).
• Handle a full caseload independently
• Attend telephonic depositions with medical providers
• Advise clients on legal matters and issues
• Prepare and draft appeals and summation briefs
• Negotiate settlements
• Research applicable areas of Workers’ Compensation law

Qualifications :

• Candidate must be licensed in New York (NJ License is a plus)
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent writing, researching, negotiating and verbal communication skills are crucial.
