We have a new and exciting career opportunity as our Heavy Equipment Mechanic for the New York Region. The position is based out of our Wehrle Quarry in Williamsville, NY. The starting pay for this position is $29.45 per hour with opportunities for advancement. The ideal candidate we are looking for would thrive in an environment in which they provide daily support to the Quarry. This involves:

• Service, repair, adjust, and test all mobile equipment that operates throughout the plant to maximize performance and limit downtime.
• Inspect all mobile equipment to identify and troubleshoot the cause of failures. Perform repairs to address problems when necessary.
• Ensure correct and accurate documentation is completed on a daily and monthly basis regarding all mobile equipment. Enter and maintain service reports for all the mobile equipment in written or electronic form.
• Assist in driving heavy equipment and vehicles throughout the plant when necessary to ensure production continues in an efficient manner.

Requirements

• High School Graduate/GED.
• Post-secondary training in mechanics or diesel preferred, or 2 years of experience in lieu of training.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
• Capable and willingness to travel to job sites within a defined geographic territory.
• CAT SIS experience and experience on Cat, Volvo, and Hitachi equipment.
