New England Home for the Dead (NEHD) is Hiring a Maintenance Supervisor Near Danvers, MA
- Supervise Maintenance and housekeeping staff of seven.
- Provide training and direction, review work and assist in follow-up training as needed.
- Monitor scheduling of maintenance staff and vendors based on organization policies.
- Perform basic maintenance and carpentry duties to assure facility is safe and well cared for.
- Track inventory and maintenance schedules to assure equipment is in good working order.
- Assist in planning preventative maintenance plans such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing and fire.
- Operate within budget guidelines.
- Assure the property is in good working order, void of any hazards, providing sufficient care for residents and staff
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Maintenance experience is preferably in healthcare.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Ability to work independently and direct others.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must have full mobility, able to bend, stoop, crawl, reach, climb, stretch, as needed.
- Knowledge of American Sign Language and Deaf culture is a plus. Staff will participate in free, weekly ASL classes on-site.
