Nevada Retina Associates is Hiring an Ophthalmic Technician Near Reno, NV

Nevada Retina Associates is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic full-time Ophthalmic Technician. We are willing to train the right person with the right attitude who enjoys being part of a fun, team-oriented practice and who desires to be part of a dynamic patient care team. You will be given the opportunity to gain great working knowledge of eye anatomy, diseases, symptoms and other ocular issues. We are looking for hard working individuals who are dependable, punctual, and have excellent customer service and patient care skills to work in both our Reno and Carson City offices.

Primary duties include:

  • Performing patient work-ups, obtaining patient medical histories and performing specialized diagnostic testing
  • Professionally assist physicians with patient care, patient education, and ensure efficiency of clinic flow
  • Set up and stock exam rooms for daily use
  • Conduct patient communication/return calls

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Good work history
  • Ability to learn and to be curious about learning
  • Clinical experience in a medical practice a plus
  • COA, COT, or COMT certifications preferred but not required
  • Innovative thinker who is positive, proactive, and readily embraces a fast-paced environment with constant change
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Strong computer skills, written, and verbal skills
  • Spanish speaker a plus
