SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary responsibilities of the Application Developer II role include design, develop, and test applications as defined per project. Communication within this role is critical both internally and externally to ensure a positive and seamless customer experience. As an Application Developer II, it’s expected that you assist, and mentor Developer Is and new employees to help elevate skills at all levels.

All professional service positions are expected to drive revenue and customer satisfaction through up to date communication, accurate time keeping, clear documentation and overall issue resolution. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Deliver high quality solutions to customers on time and within budget 
• Collaborate with customers to determine requirements\user stories and potential future needs that will be leveraged to design a forward-thinking application
• Provide timely and complete responses to customer requests
• Provide application overviews and\or training to customers 
• Provide proactive communication with customers to keep them informed on project or incident progress, setting clear expectations for follow-up, and following through on those commitments
• Conduct administration and troubleshooting for customer’s deployed applications
• Work on application development tasks that include planning, design, development, testing, documentation, and deployment
• Coordinate and solve complex technical challenges 
• Develop all applications with a focus on security integrity 
• Works within a variety of technical environments 
• Research and propose ideas for improvements to tools, workflows, and processes
• Test new technologies and methodologies 
• Create and maintain project and technical documentation 
• Document system configurations
• Demonstrates flexibility in daily work approach
• Mentors and\or assists other members of the team
• Serves as a subject matter expert in a key technology area
• Proactively shares knowledge with extended team
• Participate in peer code reviews

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3-6 years of experience in the following:
• Programming languages (at least 2): PHP, Javascript, C#, Java, Ruby, Python 
• Frameworks: Node
• JS Frameworks: Angular or Vue
• CMS: Drupal, Wordpress 
• Git source management; branches, forks, merge requests, etc 
• Management of devops stacks 
• Cloud platform management and deployments – focus on AWS
• Data design and integration, ETL 
• Preferred:
• Frameworks: .Net Core, React
• AWS Certifications 
• Experience in technical support, server\network admin 
• Production environment health monitoring, diagnosis, triage, lifecycle management
• Strong communication skills
