Join our dynamic team and make your mark on the payments technology landscape of tomorrow. Netspend is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, Systems Administrator for our Corporate Services team. The System Administrator has to identify and rectify issues utilizing monitoring systems. This role leads the team in bringing together the latest open-source and commercial technologies to develop and improve services. The administrator will make sure the current security patches and bug fixes are intact and provides a guide for patching schedules and outages. They have a prominent role to play in the successful completion of major system enhancements and various other development activities. The professional should have excellent knowledge of Active Directory, domains and VM installations, as well. You must be available to work 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday, with rotating responsibility to provide on-call after-hours support. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Lead projects for improving core infrastructure areas, implementing new capabilities, and remediating problem areas and vulnerabilities. Support legacy applications and processes as we migrate to a newer future state. Utilize monitoring systems to assist developers and other administrators with production issues and troubleshooting tasks, which are difficult or time-sensitive in nature. Assist other teams with projects as a direct participant as well as lending input for your area of expertise when called upon. Serve as a technical mentor for other team members. Work collaboratively and build a strong relationship with development teams to understand their build and infrastructure requirements. Ensure configuration and compliance with existing policies and procedures. Administer and troubleshoot Linux and Windows based systems. Successfully complete other assignments assigned by management. Additional Responsibilities Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude, and teamwork. Demonstrates a high degree of quality work. Additional duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology or a related field. Work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Understanding of how to secure environments and meet compliance requirements, such as PCI. Experience using configuration management tools, such as Puppet. Hands-on experience deploying and managing infrastructure with Terraform, a plus. Solid foundation of networking and Linux administration, unix scripting. Knowledge of cross-platform scripting languages and build tools, such as Python. Strong knowledge of Jenkins, ability to write Jenkins pipelines and experience creating reusable Jenkins shared libraries is a plus. Strong knowledge of Atlassian products, mostly Confluence and Jira. Ability to learn/use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools. Strong bias for action and ownership.
