Location:  Colorado Springs, CO 80915

Reporting To: General Manager or Division Manager, Homes or Single Family Market Manager
Travel Requirements: 95% within the assigned territory

Job Overview: The Account Executive, Single Family, is responsible for performing diverse sales activities to close business with the target customer base while maximizing sales revenue within the assigned territory. Daily, this individual meets face-to-face with current and potential customers to identify their needs and presents products, services, and expertise that Real Floors can provide to meet those needs.
Compensation Package:
  • Base salary
  • Monthly expense allowance
  • Uncapped monthly commission based on the prior month's gross profit
What We're Looking For:
  • Proven success in B2B prospecting and closing new business
  • Contacts or experience in the Single Family Residential Rental Homes space (a plus)
Core Functions:
  • Meeting regularly with existing accounts and prospecting new customers within the assigned territory.
  • Demonstrating products and services to existing accounts and potential new customers, and assisting them in selecting those best suited to their needs.
  • Generating take-offs using field-based measurements and/or digital plans, and creating estimates using estimating software.
  •  Negotiating and providing pricing for all customers.
  •  Providing all necessary information for each new account/customer.
  •  Maintaining samples and other sales materials.
  •  Interacting with customers, vendors, and manufacturers to resolve any customer and service-related issues.
  •  Setting and achieving monthly and quarterly sales goals.
  •  Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of products and services.
  •  Performing random job site inspections and reporting results to the Installation department.
  •  Reporting to management any information pertinent to competitive pricing and/or changes in the competitive landscape.
  • Additional tasks as assigned to help support the success of the team.
Qualifications:
  • Highly energetic with a strong sales-driven mindset.
  • Coachable, with the willingness and ability to internalize instructions and take actionable steps to better serve our customers and drive business growth.
  • Proven experience in prospecting and a track record of success in generating new accounts and closing new business.
  • Demonstrates strong prioritization, organizational, and time management skills to manage and grow the business efficiently and effectively.
  • A strong individual contributor who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and achieve goals while regularly working independently.
  • Possesses a positively persistent customer focus, actively seeks to partner with customers, and can overcome obstacles and engage in difficult conversations while adding value to the relationship.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to use various remote tools for conducting business.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Gmail, Google Docs, and/or Google Sheets is a plus.
  • Contacts and/or experience in the single-family/residential rental homes industry are a plus.
  • Flooring knowledge and/or prior flooring installation experience is preferred but not required.
  • Must have a clean driving record, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to travel daily to various customer sites within the assigned territory.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The employee must have the ability to travel extensively on a daily basis within the assigned territory by driving a personal vehicle. The duties of this position may regularly require the employee to work in non-temperature controlled warehouse environments or locations where construction is taking place; these environments may be hot, cold, dirty, dusty, or otherwise uncomfortable.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee is frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or flooring materials and supplies. The employee is required to possess some dexterity in operating office equipment. The employee is occasionally required to sit/stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop, reach with hands and arms, and frequently walk around an office, warehouse, or job site. The employee must occasionally lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but may sometimes be loud if the employee is visiting a location where construction or renovation is taking place. The duties of the position require the employee to practice and maintain good personal
hygiene. Additionally, the employee is required to dress neatly and appropriately at all times, including business casual or professional or other attire appropriate to the situation.
