Objectives

1. Must be able to operate manual lathes, mills, and grinders
2. Responsible for following machine shop safety rules.
3. Use precision measuring instruments.
4. Assist other tool and die makers.

41 Specific
1. Build or repair molds throughout the facility.
2. Troubleshoot and repair common tooling Defects.
3. Must be able to set up, load programs, and make adjustments to CNC, EDM, grinder, and mill equipment.
4. Must have basic 3-axis understanding and programming ability for Surf Cam Software and the ability to make program edits as required to meet required tooling dimensions. 5. Must have basic understanding and equipment programming ability for the CNC and make program edits as required to meet part dimensions.

Requirements:
Education: Must have a two-year Technical Certificate or Degree in a related field.

Experience: 3-5 years related experience

Skills: Requires the use of advanced shop mathematics, together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, handbook formulas, all varieties of adjustable measuring instruments, and the use of broad training in a recognized trade or craft. Equivalent to complete, accredited, indentured apprenticeship or equivalent
