POSITION SUMMARY

The Technical Business Analyst (Field Applications – Functional Lead) is a highly collaborative role where you can have a direct impact on making our North American operations more efficient and effective, creating amazing experiences for our clients, partners, and company. The role entails support and assistance to be provided to the Field Applications Product Owner in the pursuit of gathering business requirements, design and maintenance of business applications, application configuration, systems testing, end-user production support, and collaborative partnering with the business owners. The Technical Business Analyst will utilize proficiency in application enablement of field processes to provide support and counsel to application users. The role will coordinately tightly with counterparts from other application areas to ensure a smooth and seamless ecosystem. The Technical Business Analyst is expected to be able to engage in dialogs on table structures, reporting, methodology, quality assurance, and other similar matters in pursuit of the delivery of system enhancements to the business. The Functional Lead is a direct contributor to the quality of our applications and to our ability to delivery competitive edge to our business partners.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Contribute to collaborative efforts across the business to understand processes and pain points in the field today.
  • Collaborate closely with scrum masters and technical leaders on the delivery of enhancements and fixes and on the day-to-day priorities of developers and testers.
  • Collaborate closely with integrating and interdependent teams in a matrix environment.
  • Assist the Field Applications Product Owner to contribute to and influence the formulation of vision and strategy for the product area.
  • Synthesize requirements from all sources and evaluate them to propose and execute the best path forward for the product.
  • Develop and document business process flows, user stories, context diagrams, system requirements, and configurations.
  • Prepare time and cost estimates for completing tasks and projects.
  • Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems.
  • Produce, publish, and oversee the development of test plans, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing. Drive resolutions to issues identified during testing.
  • Coordinate field implementations of new software releases.
  • Provide documentation and support to users. Partner with the business on the crafting and delivery of training activities and materials.
  • Communicate and coordinate with vendors and suppliers.
  • Provide periodic communication to all stakeholders on system and project status.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform the role of system administrator (configuration and maintenance of rules)

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related IT field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in information technology and 3 years relevant experience in business analysis or in a business-facing role.
  • Ability to interact with and influence business stakeholders and adapt style as needed for technical or non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to build consensus, utilize active listening skills, and work harmoniously with others in getting a job done while promoting a culture of teamwork, excellence, and integrity.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to embrace change.
  • Ability and desire to achieve organizational and individual goals by seizing opportunities and learning from experience.
  • Ability to analyze work, set goals, develop plans of action, and utilize time effectively.
  • Previous experience with field services is a plus.
  • Proven experience working in a matrix environment inclusive of onshore and offshore resources.
  • Proficient in SQL, Excel, and data analysis.
  • Must have experience in business analysis, meeting facilitation, and communications with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to proactively create the company’s future by challenging the status quo and daring to innovate.
