JOB SUMMARY:
This is an industry grade B position. Under general supervision, perform skilled and semi-skilled building maintenance and repairs, requiring a working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical and grounds keeping with a basic knowledge of HVAC. As to provide care maintenance and up keep to the physical plant. To work with the mechanic I position to provide information and skill building to help in improvement and growth.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma plus 3 to 5 years’ experience in hands-on maintenance, renovation and rehabilitation of buildings and equipment. Knowledge of standard tool, materials and methods involved in maintenance and repair, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical and painting. Valid driver’s license with good driving record. Must be familiar with local, state and federal codes to include BOCA, OSHA, and NFPA. Specialized training, license, or experience in a particular trade is preferred.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS, and OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
As this position is considered “Essential “Personnel” you may be required at times to work weekends, holidays, and overtime. Ability to operate a computer, copier, fax, and telephones. Ability to operate necessary tools
and machinery. Employee must possess a valid driver’s license and if duties require driving, be able to drive an agency owned vehicle.
Salary:
$18 - $23 PH depending on experience
