Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, LLP is Hiring an Administrative Assistant Near Miami, FL

Overview

The Miami office of Nelson Mullins seeks a Litigation Administrative Assistant with 5 years of complex litigation experience – Bankruptcy experience would be a plus.

A Day in the Life

Prepare/revise/finalize correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents including, Federal and State court filings

  • Maintain attorney calendars; docket court deadlines; make travel arrangements; process monthly expense reports
  • Organize and process high volume of email - - including ECF filings
  • maintain electronic and paper client files - - including the service list(s)
  • Run conflict checks, open new client/matter engagements, set-up billing requirements for clients
  • Schedule client meetings, hearings, court appearances, and communicate with clients, chambers, process servers and court reporters as necessary
  • Assist with billing/client invoices

    The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience supporting multiple attorneys and paralegals in complex litigation matters. In addition, the candidate will have excellent administrative and legal skills, be professional, highly organized, a self-starter, detail-oriented, have the ability to multi-task in a high activity environment, be able to prioritize assignments, and work well under pressure. We are seeking someone who is able to take direction and work independently.

  • 5 years of recent State and Federal litigation experience within a law firm – including efiling
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Suite products and Kofax or other PDF software
  • Experience with a document management system, a docketing platform, and a billing and time entry programs preferred
  • Typing of 65 wpm
