Job Description: Your Piece of the Puzzle Do you have extensive hands-on experience developing database queries, ETL, and associated code in a Microsoft SQL Server environment? As NFM’s Database Developer you will be responsible for the design and development of database objects and procedural code to support various products for the organization. The database developer also creates programs to populate and maintain the data in the departments transaction processing systems. This involves the creation of ETL programs along with the supporting stored procedures, functions, triggers, and constraints. The position requires extensive hands-on experience developing database queries, ETL, and associated code in a Microsoft SQL Server environment (both on-premises and Cloud). This is a remote position that requires the candidate to reside in NE, IA, MO, KS or TX- no exceptions. Job Duties: A Day in the Life Participate in database design and architecture to support application development projects. Create Design, develop and implement database systems based on customer requirements. Optimize database systems for performance efficiency. Prepare database design specifications and functional documentations for assigned applications. Maintain source code for database and ETL projects. Ensure that projects build successfully in a continuous integration environment. Diagnose and resolve database performance issues. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field 8 years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server with emphasis on database code and ETL development Data Modeling\Database design skills including normalization Strong hands-on T-SQL development skills including stored procedure, function, and trigger creation Excellent query optimization and performance tuning skills Extensive experience developing ETL process using SSIS and Azure data factory Detailed analytical skills Structured troubleshooting skills SQL Server database development using Visual Studio Build and define test plans and/or test data in Visual Studio NoSQL/Cosmos database design and development is strongly desired Experiences with Git, Azure DevOps and CI/CD Pipelines is desired Experience with Azure cloud services/databases is a big plus Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology is preferredPre-employment screening includes, but isn’t limited to, criminal background check
