Field Service Supervisor II

Job Summary:

As the Field Service Supervisor (II) (Non-exempt) you will rely on your ability and experience for installation of NCS Multistage frac sleeves, toe sleeves, float equipment and airlock systems as well as that same ability and experience to run the NCS Multistage frac completion systems including but not limited to closeable frac sleeves, full straddle, half straddle, Instafrac, and Spotfrac in any area NCS operates in.

Important Information:

  • On call 24/7
  • Will require weekend and holiday work
  • High School diploma or GED required.

Key areas of responsibility

  • Communicate to reporting manager on daily operations
  • Prepare equipment for jobs
  • Work under minimal supervision
  • Take ownership of operation and proper configuration of downhole fracturing and completion tools and systems for intended job and well design ensuring that operational specifications (limits) of the down hole tools are not exceeded. This includes pre and post-testing.
  • Act as the intermediary between pumping/coil services and energy company to ensure job success, and in doing provide first-class front-line support for customer.
  • Be able to communicate and collaborate with customers, rig, coil, frac and all other third-party personnel for the assigned job.
  • Accurately complete job reports (including travel logs), create tool assembly schematics, and field service orders upon completion of job, including tool pictures, and finish by communicating the days operations to coworkers at the end of your shift.
  • Report all non-conformance in accordance with policy.
  • Convey information and job details to co-workers at the end of each shift
  • All NCS tools and equipment looked after in a professional manner by maintaining clean, painted tools, and having completed proper inspection before and after each job
  • Support and uphold HS&E policies and procedures of NCS and the customer

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of and ability to run a minimum of four different NCS tool configurations
  • Evaluated on and signed off on these different tool configurations
  • Strong knowledge and ability to run and monitor all drilling rig activities which include completion tally space out, torque specifications, shoe track make up, and cementing operations
  • Strong knowledge and ability to demonstrate application of downhole hydraulics and well bore volume calculations
  • Minimum of 5 years of prior oilfield experience with a sound fundamental understanding in the following disciplines:
    • coil tubing operations
    • frac operations
    • wellbore construction operations
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a multi-disciplinary, multi-background team environment
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Willingness to work under varying conditions and in remote locations
  • Excellent communication, organization, troubleshooting, time-management and teamwork skills
  • Positive attitude and a high degree of self-discipline and motivation
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience employed in NCS

  • The ability to lift 25/50/80 pounds regularly
  • The ability to respond quickly to sounds
  • The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
  • The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
  • The ability to safely climb ladders while carrying forty pounds
  • The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly as required

Training Requirements

  • All required HSE training
  • In house NCS tool training upon start up.
  • Completion of a Breakout Session after initial training is complete.
