Naval Medical Command is Hiring an INDUSTRIAL HYGIENIST Near Beaufort, SC

Qualifications:

GS-12: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

• Experience in industrial hygiene concepts, principles, and practices carrying out all industrial hygiene programs;
• Experience investigating health problems to determine probable cause and recommend measures to minimize health hazards;
• Experience developing a variety of control measures, including ventilation, shielding, material substitution, change in work procedures, isolation, education and personal protective devices and planning; and
• Experience carrying out industrial hygiene inspections and surveys.

GS-11: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

• Experience in industrial hygiene concepts, principles, and practices carrying out all industrial hygiene programs;
• Experience recognizing and evaluating occupational health hazards to include those for which the nature and extent of hazards is not completely understood;
• Experience assisting in applying a variety of control measures for ventilation, shielding, material, substitution, and change in work procedures; and
• Experience assisting in carrying out industrial hygiene inspections and surveys.
