Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command is Hiring a MECHANICAL ENGINEER Near Groton, CT

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. GS-11: $77,655 to $100947
GS-12: $93076 to $120,999

Qualifications:

GS-12: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Producing mechanical engineering facility design packages, including design drawings, plans, specifications and design-build requests for proposal; 2) Reviewing mechanical engineering design submittals for facilities to provide subject matter expert acceptance recommendations to officials; 3) Providing mechanical engineering design consultation services to officials during facilities construction; and 4) Ensuring all projects are in full compliance with guide specifications, policy, and industry code and standards. (NOTE: Your answer must be supported by information in your resume.)

GS-11: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Designing plans for engineering projects (e.g. plumbing, heating, water, piping, control systems); 2) Assisting in developing solutions to mechanical-related issues; and 3) Using AutoCAD and mechanical engineering design/analysis software to analyze modifications and alterations to projects. (NOTE: Your answer must be supported by information in your resume.)

At the GS-11 grade level, you may also qualify based upon the education or the combination of education stated in the Education Section of this announcement.
