Customer Service and Sales Associate - Part-time

We are a family-owned local business seeking a part-time Customer Service/ Sales Associate to work in a fast pace store who possesses the following:

Job Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Exhibits excellent customer service skills and demonstrates the ability to consistently follow all company customer service standards including greeting and thanking all customers
• Aware of surroundings and able to pick up on social cues of customers to best assist them
• A team player who represents the store and our brand in a positive light
• Show passion for products and communicate and share relevant information with customers
• Able to answer questions about product features and benefits
• Is a role model by presenting a professional image in appearance, words, and action

Store Appearance

• Maintains tidy and clean store appearance and displays through daily maintenance, orderliness and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock room and outdoor areas.
• Willing and able to clean shelves, counters, bathrooms, doors, windows and outside of store

Operations

• Ensures all sales are rung correctly
• Ensures product is priced, stocked correctly on shelves, and displayed with the appropriate signage
• Assists with inventory, including receiving, entering, and stocking merchandise
• Partners with manager to merchandise in a creative, efficient way

Schedule Requirements

• It is a condition of employment to be able to work weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of the business. Our store is open from 9:30 am until 7:00 pm. Must be available to work Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and all major holidays including but not limited to: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Easter, Black Friday – Christmas Eve, Week of July 4th.

Physical Demands

• Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
• Able to stand, walk and move 8 hours per day
• Able to climb ladder to display merchandise or remove merchandise for a customer

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
