Natixis Investment Managers is Hiring a Product Manager Near Boston, MA

The Product Manager will have a variety of responsibilities in supporting the product line of Natixis Investment Managers. This primarily includes the firm’s mutual funds and exchange-traded funds, as well as other vehicle types such as separately managed accounts. This position is responsible for handling product changes and new product launches from inception to completion while working with a number of departments and personnel throughout the Natixis organization, including Natixis’ affiliated investment managers.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Act as the project manager charged with coordinating product revisions, such as changes to existing funds, or the implementation of new funds.
  • Maintain detailed project documents identifying the responsibilities of internal and external departments to implement product modifications. Maintain documentation which identifies any issues and the resolution of those issues. Establish timelines for product changes with input and agreement of all appropriate parties. Schedule and, at times, lead meetings to recommend new products or product changes.
  • Represent the Product Development and Management team at meetings with other departments to provide information on product updates.
  • Draft Q&As, emails, etc. for internal firm associates and external clients explaining various product changes, their effective dates, the rationale, impact and other relevant details.
  • Prepare materials for various internal committees and forums where product development and management initiatives are reviewed and discussed.
With particular respect to the Natixis Funds, Loomis Sayles Funds and Natixis ETFs, the Senior Product Analyst will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Draft and finalize clear, well written documents for the funds’ Board of Trustees. These materials require significant coordination with several internal departments and Natixis’ affiliated investment managers. Production of these materials may also require coordination with external vendors. Address and resolve all comments received on Board memos/materials.
  • Identify, advance and resolve, as needed, any issues or concerns with the proposals put forth in the Board materials. The candidate will be responsible for successfully assessing proposals from many different contexts: the management perspective, the Board perspective and the shareholder perspective.
  • Working with Natixis’ affiliated investment managers, coordinate scheduling and production of portfolio manager presentations for the Board of Trustees. Review and edit presentations received from affiliate managers. Verify that all data contained within the presentations is accurate.
  • Establish that all facts and positioning within the Board materials are accurate and consistent with the views of management. Ensure that all materials are produced with the highest quality and attention to detail.
  • At times, the Senior Product Analyst will be required to balance the generation of many different Board materials at once, requiring accomplished time management and prioritization skills.
  • Represent the Product Development and Management department at internal meetings where the production of Board materials is discussed.
Experience and Skills Required
  • Bachelor’s degree with at 3-5 years of previous experience in the investment management industry.
  • Outstanding written skills and attention to detail is important. Previous experience drafting Board memos and other materials is very desirable.
  • Strong quantitative skills are desirable, including proficiency in Excel, Morningstar Direct, FactSet, Bloomberg, ISS MI’s Simfund and other analytical tools.
  • Demonstrated project management experience and expertise involving internal and external personnel is required.
  • The candidate must be comfortable leading discussions about product changes, and voicing concerns or questions.
  • This individual also needs to be detail oriented, possess excellent time leadership skills and have the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
