THE RESPONSIBLITIES FOR THE ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING ARE:

·Oversight of clinical systems that ensure consistent delivery of quality resident care and services.

·Assistant the Director of Nursing withorganizing, planning, and directs department functions and activities to comply with long and short term objectives.

·Interprets regulatory requirements and monitors documentation for compliance.

·Maintains compliance with nursing care standards, policies, procedures and regulatory agency requirements. 

·Monitors Quality Indicators, identifies trends, and develops action plans.

·Manages and analyzes the staffing patterns to ensure that all nursing units are staffed accordingly

·Establishes positive employee relations, programs and practices.

·Serves as a role model and mentor for the entire nursing team,

·Uses effective communication skills by providing timely and feedback to all personnel.

THE QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING POSITION:

• Must have a current Registered Nurse license; preferably issued by the state of Delaware
• Two years of supervisory and/or ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING experience preferred.
• Must have the ability to lead and develop all nursing personnel
• Knowledgeable of Federal, State, and local long term care regulations.
