Role

On a typical day, a Training Coordinator starts by reviewing schedules, including upcoming deadlines, and training dates. The coordinator is expected to participate in and document meetings with training leadership to determine current needs and upcoming activities for all trainers, training supply and setup needs, skill needs, or company education for employees. The coordinator will maintain trackers and generate reports to show training activities and learning impact for operations.

The Training Coordinator is expected to have an innovative mindset, excellent verbal communication, and keen attention to accuracy and detail. They also have excellent written communication to create comprehensive training documents for managers and trainers to reference in the future.

The Training Coordinator is also expected to have advanced skills in data manipulation, including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, PowerBI, SQL queries, Crystal Reports, etc. A working knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint is also required. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential Functions

  • Maintain trackers and generate reports relating to training statistics and key performance indicators as required by training leadership
  • Partner with training leadership to create training schedules for all locations and lines of business, track and create reports on outcomes of all training and maintain training records for the company
  • Gather and evaluate information from QA, Operations, and management on previous training to identify weaknesses and areas that need additional training
  • Assist trainers with administrative needs, including supplies and technical setup
  • Inform employees on scheduled training and track their progress
  • Recommend training materials and methods, order and maintain in-house training equipment and facilities and manage the budget set for training
  • Attend seminars and meetings to learn new training methods and techniques and use the knowledge to prepare and coordinate future training sessions

Position Qualifications

Competencies

  • Basic understanding of Training Delivery and Facilitation, Business Insight, and Evaluating Impact

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field, or at least 6 months of commensurate experience

Experience

  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and assess and analyze data
  • Ability to work with a team and have attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically MS Excel, MS Access, and MS PowerPoint
  • Excellent time management skills, problem-solving skills and both verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge about traditional and modern training methods and techniques
  • Exceptional organization skills, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledgeable about learning management systems, instructional design and e-learning platform

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically MS Excel, MS Access, and MS PowerPoint

Certificates & Licenses

  • SHRM or CPTD Certification Preferred, not required
