About the job

Project Managers on the Fintech team will be responsible for partnering with a cross-functional team of engineers, product owners, critical internal business stakeholders, and external partners to deliver complex projects and key outcomes on time and within budget. This individual will be a key team player in the organization and will work closely to execute and help iterate product roadmaps.

The Fintech team is dedicated to building a better end-to-end payments capability that will support the current flex card program, filter spending, and simplify merchant integrations as the point of sale but also for web and mobile marketplaces. The payment capabilities should then be able to extend various other medical claims processes now and in the future. You will work with developers on open-source projects and technologies that will allow us to build platforms at scale and benefit from the latest innovations in speed, simplicity, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage project plans, Gantt charts, budgets, and schedules for multiple engineering projects.
• Define specific outcomes with measurable goals by which success and progress will be measured.
• Have an ownership mindset, strive for excellence, and take pride in achieving an effective plan, customer requirements and mitigating program and project risks.
• Deliver and work as one team, establishing operating rhythms and leading routine and ad-hoc cross-functional meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering teams within Nations Benefits and those within 3rd party service providers, to manage operational aspects of the program.

• Collaborate and coordinate with multiple stakeholders to clearly define outcomes, create plans, qualify success, manage risks, and communicate.
• Proactively identify and mitigate program risks, remove blockers, escalate, and seek leadership support early and soon.
• Maintain good data hygiene in internal tools, produce, and publish reports and dashboards necessary to reflect overall health, status, progress, risks, and issues.
• Communicate project status, progress, and issues to stakeholders, including senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of engineering project management experience, including leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Successful track record of managing large, complex programs that deliver technical solutions across multiple project teams and organizational units that meet agreed-upon business objectives and performance metrics.
• Self-motivation and proficiency in program & project management, problem-solving, and relationship management.
• Experience with project management tools and techniques, such as agile methodologies and project planning software
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
