NATIONAL RECOVERY STAFFING LLC is Hiring a Primary Therapist Near Southwest, FL

Description

The Therapist is a professional member of the team who provides clinical services for the Center. The services are performed in accordance with the patient’s individualized treatment, state and national laws and licensing and accrediting regulations.

SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY TO POSITION

  1. Participate in obtaining the patient’s informed consent for procedures, treatments, and research, as appropriate.
  2. Assist in developing aspects of treatment plans and treatment plan updates in collaboration with other treatment team members and clients.
  3. Assist the patient(s) in developing discharge goals and objectives.
  4. Discuss with patients the relapse warning signs and relapse prevention techniques and strategies and develops plans accordingly.
  5. Provide and document pertinent patient information based on evaluation, and group and individual session interactions, to assist in the patient treatment process.
  6. Document provided services in progress notes in a clear, concise, timely manner.
  7. Conduct group and individual counseling sessions.
  8. Utilize knowledge and skills to provide group psychotherapy, meeting the patient’s treatment needs and requirements.
  9. Document client progress/regression according to established policies and procedures.
  10. Attend daily staffing meetings.
  11. Facilitate team interaction for discharge planning for respective clients.
  12. Participate as a team member in all treatment team meetings and provides input regarding patients’ needs and requirements.
  13. Collaborate with the medical staff to provide treatment services.
  14. Demonstrate good communication skills.
  15. Knowledge of program policies and procedures.
  16. Continue with educational courses and in-services training, per policies and procedures.
  17. Respond positively to changing situations in the work setting.
  18. Work as a team member, demonstrating maturity under stress and objectivity.
  19. Perform in a professional manner and role models a positive image of mental health.
  20. Report abuse of patients’ rights immediately.
  21. Knowledge of Baker Act procedure, and knowledge of team member’s responsibilities in Baker Act situations.
  22. Participate in Performance Improvement monitoring and evaluating activities.
  23. Act decisively and effectively in managing staff, patients, and other employees during emergency.
  24. Perform other capacities as needed.

INTERRELATIONSHIPS: Maintains open communication lines with Clinical Director, Center staff, attending clinicians and physicians, patients and families.

STATUS: Non-Exempt

WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

  • Position requires work in a temperature-controlled
  • environment; 100% of the time spent indoors.
  • Potential exposure to violent situations.
  • No potential exposure to airborne/blood-borne pathogens
  • or other potentially infectious materials.

MACHINES/EQUIPMENT USED: Computer, Telephone System, Fax Machine, Printer/ Scanner

Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: At least a masters’ degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology or Addiction Studies or Human Services related field.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two year’s experience in social work or Behavioral Health setting and a minimum of one year of experience in a substance abuse partial hospitalization program or other mental health setting.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Recommended but not required, Licensed or Interim License, LCSW, LPCC, LMFT

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work as a team member and have management, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions and be flexible in relation to department needs.
  • Knowledge of State & Federal Standards pertaining to counseling.
  • Demonstrates Proficiency in Verbal & Written Communication Skills.
  • Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding Patient
  • Confidentiality Laws.
  • Knowledge of Drug-Free Workplace Policies.
  • Knowledge of current utilized technology.
